Since 1875, fell races have been a highlight of the Eskdale Show, attracting participants and spectators from all over. The course takes in the breathtaking views of the Eskdale valley, with the final obstacle being a beck (stream) that must be crossed before the finish line. Some runners make a dramatic leap, while others charge through the water.
