Tup Fair

The Tup Fair is a cherished tradition held at the Woolpack Inn, Eskdale. Historically, this fair served as a gathering for returning borrowed Tups (rams) to their breeders or owners after use. It was also a significant social occasion, providing an opportunity for friends and neighbours to catch up over a beer. The fair continues this tradition in a field adjacent to the Woolpack Inn, the original home of the main show from 1865 until it moved to Bridge End, Boot, 85 years later.
